Bella has been developing an unfortunate relationship with a skunk ever since we moved in; she's gotten sprayed no less than THREE times in the past two months. After doing a little research we came to the dreadful conclusion that the skunk was most likely living under our back deck. How a skunk could live peacefully with two adults and a 100+ lb. dog stomping around on it's roof all day is beyond me, but apparently it's true. Last night around 3am I met the beast in person and took a photo for proof since Greg slept through the whole event of course.

This is the back of my "practice wedding hair" if you couldn't tell. Getting married is the first time in my life where it suddenly really matters that I happen to be a girl who doesn't know the first thing about hair or make-up. Luckily I have appointments with various women at little trendy salons where they will whip my face and hair into shape for the big day. I'm just going to go in with my eyes shut and cross my fingers and hope I look good when they're through.

The countdown has begun! Less then two weeks till the wedding! A few days before we're expecting Greg's mom, brother and friend to arrive in town, and my mom will drive up the day before. Should be interesting and fun and Greg and I are very excited.

This still makes me laugh everytime I see it. My friends threw me a little surprise bachlorette party last Friday and this lovely headband was one of my gifts!

Dorothy and me at Dolores Park two Sundays ago. We were there for a picnic and to hear the San Francisco Symphony play a free outdoor concert in the park. Note my shirt - Chicks do Wine. This is my new favorite shirt! At the Gay Pride festival a while back there was a booth set up by a winery in Portland that is run by a couple of lesbian chicks. They had tons of merch all with the Chicks do Wine theme and I wanted to buy everything! I'm just hoping the logo on the back with the two women and a bottle of wine doesn't give anyone any ideas. . .

My coworker Tania (in the middle) is getting married the week after me, and she had her bachlorette party in Lake Tahoe. My other coworker Amy (to the right) and I drove up for my very first visit to this amazing place. I cannot believe Greg and I hadn't ever gone to Tahoe for a weekend! We're already looking into renting a cabin that allows dogs and planning to take Bella up with us sometime this winter.

At my work there happen to be three other people getting married by the end of the year and so my boss decided to throw one huge wedding shower for us and our partners. The theme was a garden party where we had to break up into teams and learn to cook our meal with the help of a team of professional chefs! Here is Greg with his team; they had appetizer duty with some salt-roasted shrimp dish. It was a great party.
